The concept of the transformation of mountain dragons
The names of all the mountains in the lineage are merely for convenience in reference, making it easier for people to understand which location is being indicated; there is no fixed way to name any particular mountain.
This is a concept that must be established first. The transformation of mountain dragons is akin to the generational passing down in humans, where one assesses the future excellence of descendants based on the genes inherited from their ancestors. This is the fundamental reason why sages use the ancestral mountain as a basis for determining the strength or weakness of the lineage. However, during this process of passing down through generations, can one maintain consistency, or will good bamboo produce bad shoots? Or will bad bamboo produce good shoots? The final conclusion can only be known at the site of burial.
Therefore, in practical application, one traces back from the burial site to seek out ancestral veins. The more segments of ancestral veins that are excellent, the more generations will benefit from their shade. This is a treasure trove for judgment by sages and an important concept in studying geographical feng shui. Remember! Whether one can achieve great success after burial depends on the size and vitality of the burial site’s configuration and its ancestral vein’s strength or weakness. Note: Each segment of dragon represents a generation’s rise and fall; thus, tracing back two or three segments from the burial site is most crucial, while segments four or five thereafter are less critical.
