Time Stopped

Time stopped
Last Sunday morning
After getting up, I suddenly noticed that the clock on the wall had indeed stopped.

I was taken aback for a moment, my heart skipped a beat, and I mumbled to myself, how could time stop?

Upon calm reflection, this was somewhat of a warning sign.
For the past six months, the clock had been ticking slower and slower,
but I hadn’t replaced its batteries in time.
It’s no wonder the clock suddenly stopped.
The clock is just a tool for keeping time.
It breaking down or slowing down is really quite ordinary.
The clock has stopped; I can change the batteries at any time.
As long as I correct the time,
I can continue as usual. But what about people?
If we do not cherish our health,
and fail to grasp the fleeting moments,
if life were to stop suddenly like the clock on the wall,
it seems it would only leave us with regrets and frustrations. The greatest mystery of life
is not in its length but in asking whether you can make full use of your time,
moment by moment, living in the present.  by – Director Chen
