Spirit attachment is a common issue faced by those who have just awakened their spiritual awareness. Due to their sensitive constitution and the awakening of their spiritual awareness, they are able to connect with the spiritual realm. As a result, they often feel beings from the spiritual realm attaching themselves to them. These beings can be both positive and negative; the positive are spirits and the negative are ghosts. So why do those who have just awakened their spiritual awareness connect more with the spirit world? Why are they more frequently affected by beings from the spirit realm? It is possible that these newcomers are also confused about why they often experience disturbances from the spirit world.

The spiritual realm is vast and boundless. As it is said: “The ten realms are but a manifestation of the mind.” They are transformed by consciousness. The realms of the four holy beings and six mundane beings exist here. Beings in the spirit world tend to hold onto strong attachments, indulging in greed, anger, and ignorance—the three poisons—carrying intense negative energy messages. Why do you only connect with the spirit world? Why does it seem that you have a special affinity with it? Why do these beings particularly enjoy attaching themselves to you rather than connecting with the four holy realms? If one does not engage in self-reflection or repentance, but only seeks out renowned teachers or sacred mountains for liberation, such an endeavor is impossible.

A single good thought connects you with the good spiritual realm; a single unwholesome thought connects you with the evil spiritual realm. This is due to the resonance effect of magnetic field frequencies. If one remains in a certain situation for an extended period, their thoughts become fixated on specific matters or objects. This mental energy forms a magnetic field. Under conditions of frequency resonance in space, it naturally connects into an energy field that resonates at similar frequencies. To illustrate: if someone initially drinks alcohol just casually at gatherings, over time, under peer pressure and competitive spirits during meals where drinking is encouraged, they gradually increase their tolerance for alcohol—eventually needing alcohol at every meal until they can’t be separated from it. Over time, this leads to addiction where they lose clarity of mind and cannot manage daily life without alcohol; in their world, there exists nothing but alcohol—everyone calls them an alcoholic.

Furthermore, if something doesn’t go well or causes anger or resentment arises when witnessing others’ faults—over time this becomes habitual. A single burst of anger or resentment churns endlessly within them. This accumulation of angry or resentful thoughts forms a negative energy magnetic field. If one remains long-term within this atmosphere, they can resonate with the spiritual realm as well—not only those who have just awakened their spiritual awareness can connect with it; anyone can be disturbed or affected by beings from the spirit world.
