Practical Cultivation
It is precisely because we have been seeking fulfillment outside of ourselves that we suffer. What we need to seek is not perfection, but the ease of the mind.
When you can sincerely and compassionately look at yourself and the world, practical cultivation begins.
Without meditation and deep contemplation, understanding will not gain power. For example, no matter how much you study gourmet food, if you do not taste it, you will never know its flavor, and your stomach will never be full.
