Stars represent dynamic energy, while houses are the stages where stars express themselves. Before determining whether a star is auspicious or inauspicious, one must first consider its purpose.
Therefore, in the context of Doushu (the study of stars), generally auspicious stars tend to be lazy and inactive, merely enjoying a life of comfort. Thus, any star with pioneering characteristics, regardless of its significance, is not entirely auspicious; furthermore, each star has its own domain and should ideally reside in the house it governs. For instance, the wealth star should be in the Wealth House; the official position star should be in the Official Position House.
A single star can possess many attributes, and its personality becomes more complex and unstable. If there are multiple stars within the same house, it indicates that matters and people related to that house are diverse and numerous.
In essence, for every star present in a house, there exists a corresponding characteristic. Since each star governs its own area without undergoing chemical transformations, they do exert mutual support and restraint.
If there are many stars in the Life House, it suggests multiple personalities and many ideas; if there are many stars in the Official Position House, it indicates involvement in various industries and skills; if there are many stars in the Wealth House,
it implies multiple avenues for income; if there are many stars in the Friendship House, it signifies having many friends… and so on. The same logic applies to other houses without further elaboration.
