The Hunyuan Yang Talisman Scripture
“The Hunyuan Yang Talisman Scripture” is a Daoist internal alchemy cultivation classic included in the “Orthodox Daoist Canon”. The full text is only a little over 140 characters, all in four-character rhymed verse. Its wording and intent are extremely obscure, and it mainly expounds the “yin-yang transformations” and “movement of primordial qi” in internal alchemy.
From the perspective of Daoist internal alchemy medicine and qigong health cultivation, the practice methods guided by “The Hunyuan Yang Talisman Scripture” mainly bring the following three levels of physical and mental benefits:

- Repairing tissues: Adequate blood supply can accelerate the body’s self-repair of damaged tissues.
2. Energy level: replenishing essence and nourishing the brain, and activating the nervous system
- Brain nourished by the flower liquid: In internal alchemy, true qi ascends along the Governing Vessel (passing the Three Passes) into the brain, which can stimulate bodily fluid secretion and nerve conduction.
- Refreshing the spirit and clearing the mind: Helps relieve chronic fatigue and improve the brain’s memory and concentration.
- Deep fetal breathing: Reaches a state of “fetal height supporting the true,” making the breath extremely deep, long, fine, and slow, greatly reducing the body’s basal metabolic burden.
3. Spiritual level: calming the spirit, settling the will, and reshaping one’s nature
- Nine transformations to the utmost spirit: Through the disciplined practice of “three transformations to one settling, nine transformations to the utmost spirit,” distracting thoughts are subdued.
- Balancing the autonomic nervous system: Harmonizes the body’s “fire lord” (the heart-mind), easing the anxiety, insomnia, and excessive heart fire common in modern people.
- Enhancing life energy: Integrates essence, qi, and spirit to a high degree, allowing the human body to remain in a highly harmonious “Hunyuan” state.
