Ruyi Jewel Wheel King Dharani
The “Ruyi Jewel Wheel King Dharani” comes from esoteric Buddhist scriptures in Chinese Buddhism and has multiple different translations.It mainly comes from the “Ruyi Wheel Dharani Sutra” translated by Bodhiruci of the Tang dynasty, as well as the “Sutra Spoken by the Buddha on the Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva Ruyi Heart Dharani Mantra” translated by Master Yijing, and the “Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva Secret Treasury Ruyi Wheel Dharani Divine Mantra Sutra” translated by Master Śikṣānanda.
The main benefits are as follows:
- Fulfilling wishes and accomplishing goals: Like a wish-fulfilling jewel, it enables the reciter’s wishes to be fulfilled and brings benefit as desired, so that all endeavors are accomplished.
- Eliminating karmic obstacles: It can destroy extremely grave evil karma such as the five heinous offenses, avert disasters and misfortunes, and ensure one does not fall into the evil realms.
- Dispelling illness and suffering: It can break through a hundred illnesses and afflictions, eliminating all physical and mental suffering.
- Protection and peace: It protects one from untimely death, disturbances from evil spirits, and disasters from poison, blades, and weapons, and makes one beloved by both humans and devas.
- Increasing merit and wisdom: It increases merit and lifespan, and can also increase wisdom, ultimately allowing one to see all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
