The Endless Treasury of Wisdom Dharani

Prajñā Inexhaustible Treasury Mantra

The “Prajñā Inexhaustible Treasury Mantra” (also known as the “Prajñā Inexhaustible Treasury Dhāraṇī” or the “Diamond Sutra Mantra”)is mainly found in Volume 3 of the Dhāraṇī Collection Sutra. It is an important mantra associated with the Diamond Sutra, symbolizing the virtue of the sutra’s teaching that all dharmas are empty, and it is highly revered in Buddhism.

Four core benefits:
  • Enhances wisdom and memory: Reciting this mantra can open the mind, and it is especially suitable for examinees, students, or anyone who needs to clarify complex thoughts and improve comprehension and concentration.
  • Equivalent to reciting countless scriptures: In Buddhist tradition, this mantra is believed to contain the inexhaustible treasury of the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times; the merit of reciting it once is inconceivable, symbolizing the merit of the corresponding Prajñā scriptures in full.
  • Purifies karmic obstacles and protects the practitioner: It can help practitioners destroy obstacles in practice and daily life, stabilize body and mind energy, and increase blessings and good affinities.
  • Realizing the emptiness of Prajñā: This mantra is also called the “Prajñā Eye” or “Diamond Prajñā Heart,” and can help one illuminate all Prajñā Pāramitā teachings, entering from the root into the wisdom realm where all dharmas are empty.
