Can changing your name change your luck?
This is a controversial topic that can spark heated debates. It is a question frequently posed to fortune tellers and one that must be discussed. Based on my personal insights and experiences, I hope you will forgive any shortcomings in my views.
The following explanation will focus on two aspects: psychological and practical.
From a psychological perspective, it can be helpful because when people encounter difficulties, they tend to doubt various factors. This is human nature. Therefore, it is common to suspect that there may be issues with one’s home or with names—be it personal names or company names.
At such times, if you are misled by rumors from various factions or harmed by the blunt assertions of naming masters, you will already have mental burdens. How can one not seek to remove these burdens? It’s like a computer that has been infected with a virus; can it not be reinstalled?
In fact, this principle is similar to the story about “Zhang Daqian’s beard being beautiful; whether he sleeps with his beard inside or outside the blanket.” If no one brings it up, it won’t attract attention. However, once attention is drawn to it,

fanning the flames of this idea, I believe even if you don’t want to change your name, it would be difficult not to do so. Don’t you think so?
From a practical perspective, changing your name does not help because changing your name cannot alter your karma nor change the consequences of your own ingrained habits. If simply changing a name could reverse all fortunes,
then why not rob a bank and immediately change your name? Wouldn’t life become carefree and enjoyable? So don’t be foolish; thinking that changing your name can turn your life around is impossible—it’s an undeniable fact.

Those who experience good fortune shortly after changing their names must have already completed their original bad luck before the name change; they were at rock bottom just before renaming.
Conversely, those who see no improvement after renaming must still be enduring their original bad luck; hence this situation arises. Why not test this theory yourself? If one cannot fundamentally change their habits and spiritual state,
then all actions taken are merely shortsighted pursuits of immediate gain at others’ expense—no good energy or smooth events can arise from such actions.
