“Medicine King Bodhisattva Mantra” (also known as the Mantra for Purifying All Karmic Obstructions and Eliminating Them) comes from the Mahayana scripture “The Sutra Spoken by the Buddha on Contemplating the Two Bodhisattvas Medicine King and Medicine Superior”, a wondrous mantra in Buddhism used to ward off calamities and misfortune, eliminate karmic obstacles, and relieve physical and mental suffering.

According to Buddhist scriptures, sincerely reciting the Medicine King Bodhisattva Mantra can bring the following extraordinary benefits:

Eliminates karmic obstacles: It can quickly eradicate beings’ karmic obstacles, retribution obstacles, and afflictive obstacles, restoring purity and peace to body and mind.
Never loses the bodhi mind: By cultivating all samadhis, one can see the Buddha’s physical form in every thought and never lose the aspiration for enlightenment.
Evil spirits cannot invade: Evil ghosts and malevolent entities from all directions cannot harm those who recite this mantra. At the time of death, they can be welcomed by Buddhas from all directions and be reborn in a Pure Land according to their vows.
