Who is Tai Sui? Perhaps everyone is very curious about his background, his temperament, or other thoughts about Tai Sui that might be countless.
Therefore, clever religious figures, in response to the needs of their followers, have created the concept of the sixty Tai Sui. They even fabricated many miracles, which is truly amusing. So here I want to loudly call out: stop being superstitious! Tai Sui isn’t that scary; sometimes he can be quite charming!
Tai Sui represents Jupiter, which symbolizes expansion. Thus, whenever it’s a year that conflicts with Tai Sui, one’s style of action tends to be more inflated than usual. Consequently, developments may become more extreme, especially for those with a ‘blood blade’ in their destiny; they may face unexpected disasters. Therefore, it is advisable to honor Tai Sui or light a bright lamp to pray for blessings from deities and Buddhas to turn misfortune into good fortune. This explains why we should honor Tai Sui.
However, if one’s destiny does not include a ‘blood blade,’ it is also acceptable not to honor Tai Sui. Yet from the perspective of destiny analysis, Tai Sui embodies the energy of the heavenly stems and earthly branches. If we were to interpret Tai Sui as simply representing the annual energy flow instead, it might not seem so serious because the preferences and aversions of the stems and branches are what truly determine fortune and misfortune. Nonetheless, it’s essential to first isolate unexpected events since they are not governed by these preferences and aversions—understand this?
Therefore, if the heavenly stem and earthly branch of Tai Sui are unfavorable in that year, then many things may go awry or there could be numerous disasters such as illness or financial loss; one must act cautiously and proceed step by step. However, if the heavenly stem and earthly branch of Tai Sui are favorable, then good news should come often—how lovely is that? So why should one be terrified at the mention of Tai Sui?
