Give yourself the opportunity to empty your mind
Modern people suffer from many ailments, which is quite terrifying! This is what Buddhism refers to as the phenomenon of “ignorance.”
This is the sole cause of suffering and another name for distress. Besides the changes in modern living environments and lifestyle shifts,
the abnormal habits in dietary practices, of course, the primary reason is excessive mental stress.
The mental illnesses caused by excessive stress are very frightening; they often accompany chronic diseases.
Patients are usually unaware and do not take care of themselves, allowing their conditions to fluctuate. Over time, their bodies deteriorate, and their health inevitably declines!
According to Teacher Zhou Shanwei’s experience, many causes of cancer stem from excessive stress that cannot be released in a timely manner.
Now I am gradually learning to take care of myself; I pay attention to releasing my body’s stress at appropriate times.
After being busy, I always give myself a chance to unwind. Below are some effective methods I use for stress relief that I would like to share with everyone.
1. Do not cling to work-related issues; you should shift your focus at appropriate times and seek support when needed.
2. Organize your daily tasks; delete each item as you complete it so you don’t carry too many problems in your mind.
3. Avoid making complaining a habit; when faced with stimuli, resistance, or difficulties, learn to understand and transform them—never act impulsively.
4. Cultivate interests that bring joy and nurture your spirit, such as music, chess, calligraphy, painting, television shows, movies, gardening… etc.
5. Make close friends with whom you can share your thoughts and encourage each other at appropriate times. by – Chen Dao
